The Matzos band has a drummer, a bass player, a guitarist, a violinist, and a clarinet player. We played with an accordion player for a few years but his bellows exploded! He was so hot!. We've played with a sousaphone player too, and a trombonist, Trumpeter, saxophonist, ukelaleist, triangelist. All steaming and hardly different from the original. Yet originally different. Originally. That's all. Now go to the next paragraph...
Influences
Beethoven, Elvis, Bob Marley, Brian Eno, The Ruts, X-ray Spex, Quintette du hot club de Paris, The Klezmatics, Taraf de Haidouks, Khaled, Kroke, Bonzo, Buena Vista Social, Rolf Harris, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Ali Farka Toure, Bob Wills, King Tubby, De Mishpoge, Nat King Cole Trio, Kocani orkesta, Fats Waller, Cab Calloway,
This little list will change from time to time as names get remembered... or forgotten...
Did I mention Rolf Harris yet?..
Hallo to you, We were the Matzos... We've been The Matzos for about 6 years. In one form or another. Forming after realising we shared a love of east european tunes, during conversation at crazy east european concerts. Since then we learned, and play various tunes in or about this style. Two basic recordings you can listen to here on this page. Right now if you want.

Still open for bands!!! One of Wales’ biggest and newest events, encompassing 2 days, 4 stages, 60 bands, and the capacity for 3000 people! The festival is for charity, with proceeds going partly to help projects in the local community and partly to help young musicians in the area, with advertising, their equipment, etc. The ethos is very much that it is run like a community, so people helping each other out rather to help cut down the exchange of cash. We aim to work with ethical companies, aim to actively promote both welsh music, and environmental issues and solutions. Check it out at www. thesquarefestival. com And get in touch for further details. admin@backbeating.co.uk or theraffle@googlemail.com

Why thank you. :) I've had it two years, only known how to play it really 1 year. The first year I had it I just kind of did slap bass with no notes. hahaha Thats what I saw in rockabilly music, so I did that. Now I am really into all forms of music, especially gypsy and balkan...which is funny because I have Run DMC and Django Reinhardt on the same page, hehe..and I love love love your group as well. ;)
